Passport to fundraising success!

Her Majesty’s Passport Office in Peterborough chose local mental health charity, CPSL Mind, as their Charity of the Year for 2018.

Her Majesty’s Passport Office in Peterborough chose local mental health charity, CPSL Mind, as their Charity of the Year for 2018.

The charity was chosen through a staff vote, and the team raised a very impressive £2,226.72 throughout the year from various cake sales, fundraising events and their big Christmas raffle.

Iain Doherty, Chairman of the Charity Committee for H M Passport Office in Peterborough, commented “It has been fantastic to support a local mental health charity that provides such important services. Fundraising for CPSL Mind and raising awareness of mental health in the process, has been a great experience.”

This donation will be split between a variety of services that CPSL Mind offers to support local people, including the Perinatal Peer Support Group in Peterborough and the Sanctuary. CPSL Mind’s Perinatal Service supports mums experiencing mental health challenges, and the Sanctuary provides a safe place for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Zoe Doherty, Fundraiser for CPSL Mind, said “We are extremely grateful that Her Majesty’s Passport Office in Peterborough selected us to be their Charity of the Year for 2018. This generous donation will help us continue to provide our services to local individuals recovering from mental health challenges. Well done to everyone involved in the fundraising.”
